POVERTY OF MANDAILING NATAL REGENCY IMARCH 2020

The poverty rate in Mandailing Natal Regency has increased from 9.11 percent in March 2019 to 9.18 percent in March 2020. This figure is equivalent to the number of poor people in the range of 41.31 thousand people in March 2020, or an increase of about 0.67. thousand people from the previous year, namely 40.64 thousand people, conditions in March 2019.

In 2020 the Poverty Line (GK) of Mandailing Natal Regency is Rp. 400,721 per capita per month, an increase of 12.54% when compared to 2019 which was only Rp. 356,058, - per capita a month.

The Poverty Depth Index (P1) and the Poverty Severity Index (P2) of Mandailing Natal Regency in 2019 experienced a decline. The Poverty Depth Index increased from 1.01 in 2019 to 1.14 in 2020 and the Poverty Severity Index increased from 0.17 in 2019 to 0.19 in 2020. This indicates that the average expenditure of the poor in Mandailing Natal Regency tends to increase approaching the poverty line and the level of expenditure inequality of the poor is getting bigger.
